Mike Ranquet at Mt. Bachelor, OR (1987)
During an ISM board test photo shoot in 1987, the weather was atrocious with super wet snow and brisk cold wind that closed the chairlifts. So I headed to the trees with Mike Ranquet where we could stay dry and use some backgrounds for reference. I used on-camera flash and experimented with some double pops of the strobe to create a double exposure that went together nicely in photoshop. Ah Ha: When the going gets tough, the tough get going. Most low budget photoshoots don’t have the opportunity for rescheduling, so make the most of what you can have! Experimentation can be the mother of invention.
